What Is Individual Therapy?
Individual therapy is one-on-one work with a licensed therapist on the things that feel heaviest: anxiety, stress, relationship patterns, old wounds. Together we make sense of what you're carrying and build practical ways to feel steadier, at a pace your nervous system can actually hold.
There is no fixed protocol here. Some weeks we talk, some weeks we work with what your body is doing in the moment, and most weeks it's both. What stays constant is the whole-person lens: mind and body treated as one, not two separate problems.
Where We Focus
What We Work On
Attachment Patterns
How early bonds shaped the way you connect now, and what secure connection can feel like instead.
Nervous System Regulation
Recognizing fight, flight, freeze and fawn in your body, and building tools that bring you back to steady.
Communication & Relationships
Saying what you mean, hearing what's meant, and building relationships that feel mutual.
How to repair after a fightHow You Show Up
The roles you fall into with the people closest to you, where they come from, and how to choose differently.
Family History
Understanding what you inherited from your family system and how it plays out in your life today.
Family therapy for adultsSelf-Esteem & Confidence
Quieting the inner critic and building a sturdier sense of who you are.
The Approach
How I Work
My approach is person-centered and attachment-based, with somatic tools woven through. Depending on what you need, sessions may draw on CBT and DBT skills, mindfulness, inner child work and trauma-informed practices. There is no fixed protocol: we follow what your story and your nervous system need.
Mind & Body Together
Individual Counseling with a Mind-Body Lens
As both an LCSW and a certified holistic health coach, I pay attention to the whole picture: sleep, energy, the gut-brain connection, caffeine, and how your days are structured. Nutrition comes into our work as education, never as treatment.
Often the body is carrying more of the story than we realize, and individual counseling that includes the body tends to hold better.

Individual Therapy FAQs
What is individual therapy?
Individual therapy is one-on-one work with a licensed therapist on anxiety, stress, relationships and old patterns. It is a confidential space to understand what's happening and build practical tools to feel steadier.
Is individual counseling different from individual therapy?
The terms are used interchangeably. Both describe one-on-one work with a licensed clinician; my individual counseling is holistic and attachment-based, with mind-body tools throughout.
Do you take insurance?
I'm an out-of-network provider. I can provide superbills you can submit to your plan for possible reimbursement, depending on your benefits.
Where are you licensed?
I see therapy clients online in California, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. If you live elsewhere, integrative health coaching is available nationwide.
How long does individual therapy take?
It depends on what you're working on. Some people come for a season around a specific stressor; others stay longer for deeper pattern work. We review together as we go, and the pace is always yours.
